I am a teenage guy with thick, long-ish hair. I get it thinned at the salon when I get a trim, but it grows out quickly enough and gets poofy again.

How can I thin my hair (by myself) with regular scissors?

Please don't say "just buy thinning scissors", I'm asking a serious question here.

Thanks

Actually when I was hanging out with my friend the other day she used a razor..weird I know. She just took it and went down her hair with it a few times and it really did work. Damaged her hair bad but it thinned it. (Thinning your hair in general is bad for it but I think her method is worse haha)
So you could try that. Just hold it out straight and pull the razor down on it quickly-not too too quick- and continue. Only go down. Not up.
