About a hour ago my daughter cut her hair. Her daddy was supposed to be watching her but wasn't. She cut the top off to the scalp. So I had no choice but to buzz cut it. I used the longest guard too. She had beautiful blonde ringlets. My question is when it does grow back out will it be curly again or will it grow back different. Please don't be rude, I just need some help. By the way she is 3
it is naturally curly

hehe…my daughter did that when she was 2 yrs old. Alot of kids do this! Wiether the parent admits it or not!
Well it depends. On the fact that do you or ur husband has curly hair.
My daughter use to have curls all over but it grew out long and now its straight. So I guess if neither of you have curls chances are it would have straightened anyways.
Either way good luck..I am so sry you had to buzz it. Luckly my daughter only cut a small portion on the bottom. I dont know wut I would have done in ur shoes…

I want the length of my hair to be just below my shoulders. So should i tell the hairdresser to layer my hair using the razor or the scissors?
Suggestions with links to pictures of suited hair cuts would be greatly appreciated:)

A razor cut and a scissor cut are the same cut, with a different tool. Like you can use colored pencils, or crayons on a picture. They make the same picture, but the texture is different. A razor cut is much more choppy, a scissor cut is more smooth and more blended. Hope that helps :)

i'm graduation school on friday, and starting to stock up on everything i will need for a salon.

i've got a cheap pair of thinning/texturizing shears and i want to get a nicer pair.

i don't want to spend much more than $100, but i will if necessary.

suggestions?

i also need a new pair of clippers, as i dropped mine and they are cheap, anyway. i've been looking at a few andis models at work, but i have no idea how good or bad they are.

if any cosmetologists have any ideas (or you just want to let me know what you're using right now) i would appreciate it! thanks!
i am using wahls right now, and they just feel cheap to me.

i work at sally beauty supply, too :)
i try to ask other stylists who come in what they use, and it tends to be either andis or oster.

I am a barber. My advice is to get a pair of "blending shears" NOT thinning and they should have no less that 39 teeth Tondeo blenders are expensive but very very good about $150 and up but the downside is they are kind of hard to find if you cant try Fromm they also have a good quality blender. The difference between them is that blenders balance the hair and can give you a texturized look (use them only on the ends of the hair!!) "texturizing shears" (less that 20 or so teeth) chop the hair up they damage the haircut more than doing any so called texturizing and never, ever, ever use your blenders near the scalp only at the ends. On the clipper question, if you want an excellent clipper use Oster Fast Feed they will never fail you and they are also great for tapering and make sure to get you a finishing clipper (for necklines) use the Oster T- finisher it has a t-blade that is absolutely without a doubt the best at making a perfect neckline. You are only as good as your tools so if you buy crap your work will be crap, but if you buy quality..you get the idea. Hope this helps.
