I have a question about thinning sh...

Every few months the lady who cuts my hair thins it out with shears. Just a little over a week ago I got a cut slightly shorter than usual and she used the shears. What I am noticing is its a lot easier to see my scalp now. Can using thinning shears make it easier to see the scalp? The reason I am not sure is because basically don’t thinning shears just cut some areas of hair thinner…so it wouldnt make much of a difference with how visible my scalp is? I’m a bit confused.

thinning shears thin the existing hair u have, it does not cause u to lose hair or grow less. it the scalp is very visible and bothering u alot u should see ur doctor.

Where can you buy professional hair...

Where can you buy professional hair thinning scissors here in Manila? I just need one but I don't know where to buy it. It's the scissor that looks like it has teeth.. and it doesn't cut all the hair off.. it leaves strands from being cut. And how much might one cost? Thanks!

i saw one at Watson's in The Block. i think it's less than a hundred pesos. or you can try any HBC outlets

Is it true that hair salon scissors...

I am going to open a business of sharpening blades. My partner has done this like 15 years ago. I have been doing the market analysis to see if there is market to our service. I’ve been told that although clippers need to be sharpened, the hair salon scissors do not. My partner insists they can be sharpened. What do you know about this? Thanks!

I have a good friend who is a hairdresser in a salon and she says that she has her shears sharpened every 90 days.

i made the mistake of waxing my sideburns and now they are growing back in…the hair is about an inch long now – not quite long enough to tuck behind my ear but it looks like a little tuft on the side of my face nad i feel rediculous….i was wondering if using professional thinning shears with teeth (bought at sally beauty supply) would be appropriate for thinning out these tufts of hair in front of my ears…i dont want to wax again a.) because it looks unnatural to be completely smooth there) and b.) i want them to grow in so i can eventually tuck them behind my ears and don't have this problem….

help!

hehehehe why would you wax your side burns???? just wear your hair out and tuck your hair behind your ears until it grows out. dont thin it cause then it'll just take extra long to grow out
